Randy’s session is titled Soft Skills for Geeks: Don’t Be a Flat Boxer: If you like being the surly IT geek who lives in a dark office and gets fed pizza under the door (i.e. a flat boxer), this session is NOT for you. Scott’s session is SQL Server Backup Best Practices: RPO, RTO, and How to Not Jack Up your Log Chain: Every organization needs a clearly defined disaster recovery plan with a rigorous backup strategy at its core. That strategy includes understanding and appropriately applying Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) principles. This demo-heavy session will discuss the fundamental basics of database backups and show how to implement database backup strategy and apply best practices that meet your companies SLA.
