2014 Iron Man: Randy Knight

Iron ManRandy Knight, MCM and founder & president of SSG, has been a frequent participant at SQL happenings, primarily SQLSaturday events.

But what Randy did earlier this year was strong work: He spoke at nine straight SQLSaturday events and then followed that up with an appearance at the 2014 PASS Summit.

With a performance like that, Randy has earned SSG’s 2014 Iron Man Award (yeah, we made it up, but he deserves some acknowledgement for being a bada$$ road warrior). He’s also our very own SQLebrity. Made that up, too.

Nine Straight SQLSaturday Events

1. Sept. 6, Raleigh
2. Sept. 13, Kansas City
3. Sept. 20, San Diego
4. Sept. 27, Orlando
5. Oct. 4, Pittsburgh
6. Oct. 11, St. Louis
7. Oct . 18, Providence
8. Oct. 25, Salt Lake City
9. Nov. 1, Portland

SQLSaturday events

A map that may or may not represent Randy’s travels in 2014.

In two months, Randy essentially went from the east coast to the west coast twice. He is already booked for the Nashville SQLSaturday on Jan. 17th, and is looking ahead to plenty more SQL Saturday events over the course of the year. But, he won’t be doing nine in a row anymore, and it’s doubtful anyone else from SQL Solutions Group will either!
