SQL Solutions Group Sponsors Sacramento SQLSaturday Event

Lehi, UT, June 26, 2014SQL Solutions Group, a full-service database consultancy in Utah, is co-sponsoring the PASS SQLSaturday event in Sacramento, Calif., on July 12, and four of its database consultants will be presenting at the event.

Under the auspices of PASS, the Professional Association for SQL Server, groups around the world organize SQLSaturday events. These are “free 1-day training events for SQL Server professionals that focus on local speakers, providing a variety of high-quality technical sessions, and making it all happen through the efforts of volunteers,” according to the SQLSaturday website.

“We’ve found SQLSaturdays to be not only a fantastic way to meet other SQL professionals, but also a way for us to stay up-to-date on the hottest trends facing the industry,” says Randy Knight, president and founder of SQL Solutions Group, and a Microsoft Certified Master (MCM). “The SQL community is highly collaborative, and the exchange of best practices at these events is a great benefit to everyone involved with SQL Server.”

Knight is one of the consultants presenting at the event; his topic is “Understanding the SQL Server Transaction Log.” Jason Brimhall, MCM, is presenting on “SQL 2012 Extended Events.” Ben Miller, MCM, is presenting on “SQL Server TDE.” Mike Tutor is presenting on “Tools You Probably Aren’t Using.
